    • Classwork - Science Binder Check, Cell Types Chart check to make sure everyone has one in their binder, CWQ3-03: Illustrate members of the six kingdoms and list cell type, number, food source.
    • Homework: HWQ302 Find a science article the mentions cells online, in a magazine, or in a newspaper. Write a paragraph summary using complete sentences telling what the article was about. List the source (where you found it). Since some students may not have access to these materials at home, this is due on Friday.

    • Classwork: Fill out a chart on cell characteristics (group work) based on text information. CWQ3-02 Taking notes on a short video about cells. Reminder of tougher expectations for upcoming quarter (more homework, homework will no longer be accepted after being a week late (unless there was a prolonged valid absence).

    • Classwork Handed back quiz and went over it. Discussed cells. Conversation about how to make class more interesting. Students were given a chance to give ideas about what kinds of science class activities they enjoy and what learning strategies work for them. Intro to upcoming unit on cells.

    • Classwork: Wrapping up classification. Finishing notes.
    • Homework: HWQ301 Study a photo of any animal (not including common house pets) then write a detailed description without naming it. Describe the animal so an artistic friend could paint it in detail without seeing it. You should describe at least 3-5 features of the animal.

    • Homework - Memorize the correct order of classification levels from general to specific: Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species.
